{Torched Goodness}

Sweet salted caramel crème brûlée.
The best substitute for lunch that I've ever found.

Torched Goodness is another wonderful find at the Phoenix Public Market's Food Truck Fridays!
They use premium organic and locally grown ingredients to make their delicious treats.

Simple concept, delicious results.
The crème brûlée is only $4, which is extremely inexpensive for the amazing dessert!

Every stop the truck makes throughout Phoenix, the chef posts the flavors of the day.
During my trip the options included:

Now on to the good stuff!

Perfect (really big) size for one or (just the right size) for two people to share.
Once you order, they sprinkle sugar all over the top then caramelize it under a portable butane torch.
My topping had a mixture of sugar and sea salt, to compliment the caramel flavored crème brûlée.

Nothing beats the first crack of this creamy custard creation.
The still warm sugary crust gave each bite a complex but subtle salty taste.
I'm no food critic (proof: my last sentence) but this was fantastic!
Every bite I took I wanted more.

Food trucks are my favorite.
Check out Torched Goodness' website to see where they're at during the week.
Or find them most Friday's from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on the corner of Pierce Street & Central Ave in Downtown Phoenix, with the other Food Trucks!

  1. I've been tempted to try this every time I've been to the food trucks, I'll have to give in to temptation next time :)

  3. OMG Creme brulee is my FAVORITE I wish we had a torched goodness truck around here. This is the best thing EVER. You know I should probably just start my own food truck business. We don't have nearly enough in my area.
