My Friday's have been irreversibly changed for the better.
Last week, my coworkerfriend Omar and I went on an adventure to discover the Phoenix Public Market's Downtown mobile food court & weekly parking lot takeover - Food Truck Friday's.
We had heard fantastic reviews of the food truck Short Leash - so we decided to test it out.
Short Leash is a mobile hot dog eatery, serving all kinds of delicious hot dogs to go.
Holy decisions.
They also have old fashioned sodas for sale, in real glass bottles.
I thought this was a lovely extra touch.
I'm not entirely sure what Omar ordered.
All I know is it included chipotle cream cheese, jalapenos, cheddar cheese, bacon and some other extra healthy items.
It looked fantastic.
I'm sad to say that I didn't actually buy anything to eat during this trip. It was so spur of the moment that I had already eaten lunch. Blast!
Tip for locals & visitors alike: Food Truck Friday's are set up from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on the corner of Pierce Street & Central Ave in Downtown Phoenix.
Check it out!
I love food that comes from trucks and I know someone who would love these hotdogs... but the time isn't very convenient.
ReplyDeleteDarn.

You should check out their website, I'm sure they have other pop-up locations you could visit!
ReplyDeleteAnother AWESOME idea. I love hot dogs and I love real dogs. How can you go wrong here? I think this weekend I will make my own gourmet hot dog and do a blog post on it. Thanks for the inspiration :) Happy Friday
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your photos are great, that last 2 shots of the hot dog are really good. Could be in a magazine.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle! This place has totally inspired me to make more interesting hot dog combos...especially with summer coming up. Perfect for grilling weather!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday:)
