{Sedona Style}

During my mom's wonderful visit, we made a trek up to northern Arizona. We were looking to escape to tour the cooler and green part of the state. I can't remember the last time I've seen so many trees, perhaps as long ago as Christmas in Seattle. It's been months!

The drive to Sedona was full of windy roads, cacti & changing scenery. I love long drives that can keep you occupied by just staring out the window, we managed to make to whole trip without turning on the radio. Of course we were probably rambling like only mothers & daughters can do, but still it was impressive!

When we finally reached our quaint hotel up top a large mountain, the air was breezy and temperatures were hot! It was a great time to sit in the shade and enjoy the beautiful spring day, just on the cusp of summer.

I've completely cut myself off from buying anything black from now on, and this dress is a great step in the right direction! Light, airy and full of color (and striped!), it is one of my new favorites for summer. Didn't hurt that it was less then $15. I love Forever 21.

I even persuaded my mamasita to join in on the outfit picture taking fun! After about 1,000 shots of me, it only took her 3 pictures to look great. I'm still an amateur.

  1. I love Sedona. The fiance and I took my mom there last summer when she came down from the homeland. It looks like you and your mama had a blast!

    And pretty sure a light and fun dress is essential to surviving these massively scorching days we've been having! Love the color and stripes, too!

  2. We had a ton of fun. I'll be posting more photos from our adventures, I can't wait to go back! Next on my list is to spend a little time in Flagstaff, and Payson once the Fall comes!

  4. Thank you! Yes, I can't believe I'm coming up on my one year anniversary in Phoenix.

    Get ready for everyone to call you crazy for moving here during the worst weather of the whole year! Haha it is a bit overwhelming, but the rest of the year makes it so worth it.
